Migrant Children's Foundation
The Migrant Children's Foundation (MCF) is a non-profit organisation that works with migrant communities in Beijing and is dedicated to enriching and expanding educational opportunities available for disadvantaged children in China through volunteering. Their main projects currently include Beijing Buddies and The Volunteer Program. The focus isn’t only on teaching, it’s about sharing experiences, giving time, learning new skills and cultural exchange.
MCF was founded in 2009. The organiation is staffed by a dedicated team of long-term volunteers who organise events, manage the MCF's programs and maintain relationships and migrant schools. All of them are based in Beijing full time.
MCF is a platform to channel efforts from around the world to make a differentce to migrant chidren. The main problem is not the number of people wanting to help, but having the knowledge or understanding of how to help where it is needed the most. MCF is nothing without the help and support of volunteers and partners.
Through all of the MCF activities, their goals are to:

To give migrant children the opportunity to experience people and ideas they wouldn't necessarily find in their day-to-day environment

To give support and resources to the hard-working staff of under-resourced local schools

To offer our volunteers the opportunity to be immersed into a unique foreign culture and to experience an incredibly rewarding working environment

In the past we have supported a wide variety of charities. Since 2014, the Migrant Children's Foundation has been our main charity. Currenty some of our members are already volunteers….maybe you would like to join them too?
